SUPERMAN & LOIS 2.14

RECAP - SUPERMAN & LOIS   2.14:   "Worlds War Bizarre"

Zero hour is fast approaching, and Ally is just about ready to merge two worlds together and accomplish her life's goal.  We see in this week's penultimate episode to Season 2, that Alison is in this deep void, doing what he has to do in order to merge our worlds' together, and thus eliminating all the people of the normal Earth, and making way for the new order under Ally.

Clark awakens from his attack by Ally, and we find out that his cells took a beating from Allie's power drain.  It will take some time for his cells to heal, and be able to absorb solar energy like he used to.  He feels helpless, and has John Henry called in to get him to The Fortress of Solitude to see what may be done to help expidite the progress and get Clark healed as quick as possible.  But his mother informs him that until the damage done to his cells have healed, he's helpless.  There is no quick fix.  John Henry and Nat are prepared to help, and Jordan is also told to keep his ears open for any danger, and protect their dad.   Sam shows up to lend a hand, and they notice that the red sun of the Bizarro World is now in Earth's space.  John Henry and Nat discover that Allie's actions have given their Earth 12 hours before the merge is fully in effect, and those effected will die.  And with the Bizarro world now entering Earth space, all technology is going haywire, which is why the cell phones are freaking out, and even the computers at the paper, where Chrissy is trying to write her article about what's really going on are freaking out.  Meanwhile, Bizarro Lana tries to make her move on killing Clark, but Jordan tries to hold her off.  John Henry and Nat arrive to drive her off, but we know she isn't finished.

Lana is preparing for a town hall meeting at the high school, as Lois has filled her in on all of Allie's actions.  She also informs her that Superman will NOT be showing up, because he's down for the count.  Lana then holds court at the high school to let the town know what's up, but they're scared and up in arms.  The former mayor tries to play off their fear to show them that Lana is incapable of leading.  Meanwhile, Clark is at home, feeling down and helpless, not knowing what to do.  Lois tells him that---powers or not---he's still Superman, because he inspires HOPE.  So, Superman shows up at the town hall meeting to back Lana up.  That's enough for the townsfolk to believe him.  However, things don't go smoothly, as Lana catches up with Sarah, as she's talking to Jordan, who is trying to tell her about what's going on.  But as Lana catches up with Sarah, Bizarro Lana has made it to the campus, and is looking to kill her and Sarah.  Jordan's eyes heat up, and tells them to go.  Lana grabs her daughter, both in shock, and make a run for it.  Bizarro Lana and Jordan begin to fight around the school.  Bizarro Jon shows up to attack Superman,

While the fighting at the school is going down, John Henry and Nat power up the suits, but he shuts hers down, and says he's heading into the void on his own to stop Allie.  She needs to stay behind to protect everyone if he fails.  So, he takes off, and she's able to keep contact with him until he's in the void.  Once there, he tries to use a missle to destroy Allie, and all it does is make her dissipate...but then reform.  He gets blasted, and he's travelling through the void unconscious.  With no way to track her dad, Nat is upset until the A.I. informs her that there is an alien presence at the high school, and she needs to suit up to get there.  At the school, Jordan has fought down Bizarro Lana, only to have to face his brother's doppleganger, getting into a heat-vision battle.  Just as the odds are stacked against them, Nat shows up, and she and Jordan take the two Bizarros down.  They're taken into custody, and Nat is upset because she can't track her dad, and she thinks he's gone forever.  But the Kents promise her that they'll get her dad back...but she's welcome to be with them until he comes back.

Meanwhile, as Lana has been struggling with Clark's secret, and now having seen Jordan use HIS powers to protect them, it makes Sarah upset that Lana didn't tell her to begin with, because Sarah knew she could handle it.  Just as Lana was about to tell Sarah the whole truth, everything starts changing around them...switching between their own home and that of the Bizarro version of their home.  This is starting to happen everywhere, as we see it happen to the Kent Farm....with Clark recognizing the Kent home of the Bizarro World.

This is probably THE best episode of the season, as it shows Lana struggling with Clark's secret...now knowing what it's been like for HIM all these years, and then having Jordan save both of them, and seeing her doppleganger come in to try to kill them.  We also see that---while he still has doubt about his abilities---Jordan steps up when Sarah and Lana are in danger, and when he hears his mother cry out when Bizarro Jon is about to kill Superman.  And Nat---despite feeling lost without her dad, steps up herself to team with Jordan to take the Bizarros down.  Everyone is bringing their A game this episode, including Kyle---despite their differences, and the fact that he's learned the hard way about secrets, continues to be a stabilizing force to Lana in her time of need.

We also see Lois show Clark that Superman is more than just a suit and Kryptonian powers---she tells him what REALLY makes him Super---his ability to provide hope to a world in desperate need of it.  And, when Lana needs help getting the message to the townsfolk---he again proves that just his WORDS alone give the town hope that things will get better.  Despite his own doubts, Clark answers the call when needed.  It's one of the truly admirable things about Superman that makes us love him as a hero---he is the purest form of it---in every way.  Powers or not, he continues to inspire others that there is always hope for a better life in this world.

All in all, I'm looking forward to the season finale, and what surprises it may bring.  What did YOU all think of this episode?  Subscribe and drop a comment below.  Season finale coming up, so strap in, and let's see how Superman and his family survive this epic threat.

Until next time....Up, up and away!
